My True and Only Security

Deuteronomy 33:26-29

26 "There is no one like the God of Jeshurun,
who rides on the heavens to help you
and on the clouds in his majesty.

27 The eternal God is your refuge,
and underneath are the everlasting arms.
He will drive out your enemy before you,
saying, 'Destroy him!'

28 So Israel will live in safety alone;
Jacob's spring is secure
in a land of grain and new wine,
where the heavens drop dew.

29 Blessed are you, O Israel!
Who is like you,
a people saved by the LORD ?
He is your shield and helper
and your glorious sword.
Your enemies will cower before you,
and you will trample down their high places.

Bee's Thoughts:

In our cell group tonight we learned about renewing our mind by putting on the mind of Christ. What does the mind of Christ look like? A mind of humility, sacrifice, purity, love, faith, obedience, and so on.

When we have the mind of Christ we can have faith like what the Psalmist said that God is our "refuge". When in any trouble or emergency, we can have the assurance that God will rescue us. He is our true security or 'insurance'.

Dear Lord,
Thank You for reminding me tonight to have the mind of Christ and to trust You to be my refuge in times of trouble. Let me be more and more like You each day.
In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
