Tranquility

Psalm 23
A psalm of David.
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.

2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,

3 he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.

4 Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.

6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.

Bee's Thoughts:

Recently, I have just experienced the lying on God's "green pastures" and walking beside "quiet water" (v2). God gave me his peace and tranquility though I went through some seemingly 'stormy' experiences the last 2 weeks. His presence just calmed my 'stormy' spirit so quickly. Yes, He restored my soul (v3).

Not only that, God guided me to behave/respond to the situations rightly so that His name will be glorified (v3). He also guided me today to share a very smiple message to touch lives during my Charity Mission Trip. I could see the joy of those people as they listened to the message. God was the one who touched their hearts... even the pastor's wife was moved with tears by God's words.

Dear Lord,
Thank You for being my Shepherd. Thank You for giving me peace in times of storm; giving me direction when I feel lost; giving me courage when I fear to speak. Thank You that Your "goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life" (v6).

Thank You for Your work at the villages today. I pray for those villagers that You will continue to help them experience Your love as we go there to offer our help and share Your blessings with them regularly.

I also pray that You will let my best friend fly back home safely tomorrow too.

In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
